Never go to the Mall of Asia during lunchtime on a weekend with an empty stomach. You could die of starvation!
Good thing there's this fast food hidden from view. The food isn't that good but it sure kept gastric holes away.

To Kalayaan
Take the long road called Personal Freedom Avenue. Don’t ever turn to Discrimination Street and Self-Limitation Avenue. You may take the short cut using Highway Self-improvement. If you get lost, you may ask the people to direct you to Cooperation Central. People there can direct you back on track. Prepare for the checkpoint nearing Kalayaan Avenue. Contrabands like unreasonably low self-expectations are required to be disposed of.
Have a safe trip to Kalayaan and I hope you stay.

Music
It's a pic taken last Friday. Although the main act is U-turn, I decided to post the pic of Six Cycle Mind instead. I like them better, that's why. Hmmm...it's the second picture of that band I posted in here. No, they're not my favorite band. They're the only band I have pictures of.
I promised Kat to answer a tag once I get an appropriate photo. This one seemed appropriate enough.
The rules: List seven songs you're into right now. No matter the genre, whether [or not] they have words, or even if they're any good, they must be songs you're really enjoying right now.
1. Drive by Incubus
2. Slow Down by Natalie Imbruglia
3. Better Man by Robbie Williams
4. Sunscreen by Baz Luhrman
5. Humanda Ka by Sandwich
6. Sitting, Waiting, Wishing by Jack Johnson
7. Another Me by Sister Hazel

Truth
Sometimes you have to plant seeds of deception to get to what's real. Most of the time these seeds just bear the UGLY truth.
If you can't deal with it, don't try to find out. There are reasons why they are kept hidden.

Omen
There's a belief that a black butterfly entering a house is an omen for a death in the family. I wasn't aware of this until I saw the trailer for the movie "Pamahiin".
I don't want to believe it.
Oh, in case I just stopped blogging, blame that butterfly.

Did you know that there are over a hundred islands in the so called Hundred Islands?
Did you know that I have over a hundred unread mails in my office inbox when I got back from vacation?

White
White is not a mere absence of color; it is a shining and affirmative thing, as fierce as red, as definite as black. God paints in many colors; but He never paints so gorgeously, I had almost said so gaudily, as when He paints in white.

Jealousy
Don’t let her refreshing green eyes fool you. It’s not the freakish limb that makes her a monster. It’s what she did to her twin sister. Jealousy can literally drive you mad with just a touch of her reptilian hand. See her sister at ward four in the Mental Institute for proof. The sister is lucky considering what she did to others. Jealousy can suck the life out of you with a kiss. Ever wondered what happened to her boyfriend? Now you have an idea.
(I kinda like creating comic book characters. I remember creating some when I was younger. This one I did for Illustration Friday:Monster.)

Bright Lights
Baby, baby, baby when all your love is gone
Who will save me from all I’m up against out in this world
And maybe, maybe, maybe
You’ll find something that’s enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don’t receive you
You should turn yourself around and come on home
Lyrics from Matchbox Twenty's Bright Lights
I remember a first-and-last date with this song. I was asked what type of music I liked and I mentioned Matchbox Twenty. It was played for me but I didn't get to listen to the music because we had a great talk.

Un-feet
I wanna be where the people are
I wanna see
Wanna see 'em dancin'
Walkin' around on those
(Whad'ya call 'em?) oh - feet
From the song Part of Your World of The Little Mermaid soundtrack.

Ikaw, Araw
Masarap siguro
magkubli sa ulap
at ako naman sa dilim.
Sabay na lang tayo
tumula't mangarap
kahit hindi na marating.
Hindi magtatagal
ikaw ay sisikat
at hindi na matatanaw.
Ako'y mapapagal,
tulog ang ulirat
patuloy ka sa lang dalaw.
Habang kaya ko pa
munting handog sa 'yo
tulang piniga sa ulo.
Sana alam mo na
sa bawat silip mo
paligid ko'y kulay ginto!
Salamat!

Tattoo
I was supposed to get a tribal henna tattoo in time for the beach trip this weekend but I've been too busy.
So I just drew a female figure on my skin with a pen for this week's Illustration Friday:Tattoo.
Hmmm, this reminds me of the 80's.

First Summer Tripping
I have officially started my summer season. Mine is usually marked by getting away from Manila.
We went to Baguio last weekend. Although I have been there a couple of times, I never got to enjoy the place before unlike last Saturday. We used to only have stop-overs at Baguio but not as the actual destination. I can say it was my first time to discover the place.
It was also my first time to ride a horse. I even wore a cowboy hat to complete the look. It was the firt time I went up to a vendor, ask if I could borrow his balloons so I can take a picture of myself with those. It was the first time a poem was presented to me, although not the first poem inspired by me. There were a number of firsts for me in this trip that I'd rather not write here.
But that's just the first trip for this summer. Batangas and Subic later!

Cockroach
As a kid, whenever I saw a dead cockroach, I'd pick it up and throw it at my brother or scare him with it. He used to cry and scream like crazy everytime I do that. I almost always die of laughing.

Pamahiin

Survey
If you met someone you might exprerience true love with but you know your relationship won't last for whatever reason (terminal disease, plans to migrate, difference in social status, etc.) would you let yourself fall and risk suffering later just to experience a moment of happiness?
