Ikaw, Araw

Sabay na lang tayo
tumula't mangarap

Hindi magtatagal
ikaw ay sisikat
at hindi na matatanaw.
Ako'y mapapagal,
tulog ang ulirat
patuloy ka sa lang dalaw.

Habang kaya ko pa
munting handog sa 'yo
tulang piniga sa ulo.
Sana alam mo na
sa bawat silip mo
paligid ko'y kulay ginto!

Salamat!

Tattoo

I was supposed to get a tribal henna tattoo in time for the beach trip this weekend but I've been too busy.

So I just drew a female figure on my skin with a pen for this week's Illustration Friday:Tattoo.

Hmmm, this reminds me of the 80's.

First Summer Tripping

Originally uploaded by C Saw.
I have officially started my summer season. Mine is usually marked by getting away from Manila.

We went to Baguio last weekend. Although I have been there a couple of times, I never got to enjoy the place before unlike last Saturday. We used to only have stop-overs at Baguio but not as the actual destination. I can say it was my first time to discover the place.

It was also my first time to ride a horse. I even wore a cowboy hat to complete the look. It was the firt time I went up to a vendor, ask if I could borrow his balloons so I can take a picture of myself with those. It was the first time a poem was presented to me, although not the first poem inspired by me. There were a number of firsts for me in this trip that I'd rather not write here.

But that's just the first trip for this summer. Batangas and Subic later!

Cockroach

Roach

As a kid, whenever I saw a dead cockroach, I'd pick it up and throw it at my brother or scare him with it. He used to cry and scream like crazy everytime I do that. I almost always die of laughing.

(The photo was taken in the bathroom this morning and edited using Picasa. Submitted to Illustration Friday:Insect.)
